This training provides the foundation knowledge of the key stages of child development and how it influences a residential employees role in working with young people. This training explores the main issues and stages of child development. It examines how the process of developmental and change may be adversely affected by the early experiences of a child in care. This training also looks at how residential carers can contribute towards improving a young persons confidence and resilience.

This course covers the Equality Act 2010 and employees code to tackle prejudice and discrimination practice. This training course also examines which behaviours are prohibited by the Equality Act and aims to help promote a more diverse working environment.
